Silence The Echo is a modern metal band from Lahti, Finland, founded in early 2024 by vocalist Katja Stefanovic and composer Jani Stefanovic (ex-Solution .45, Miseration), with guitarist Teemu Rautiainen (ex-One Morning Left), drummer Nikke Karaksela, and bassist Tommi Huuskonen completing the lineup. From the outset, the band aimed to push beyond genre boundaries, defined by emotional depth and a modern, forward-leaning sound. Blending the weight of modern metal and metalcore with electronic elements, ambient textures, and melodic hooks.
Following a series of singles throughout 2024 and 2025, the band released their debut full-length album Liberation on January 30th, 2026. The release marked a major milestone, capping off a period of consistent output that included five singles and four official music videos. Silence The Echo has since surpassed 650,000 Spotify streams and 100,000+ YouTube views, building a growing international audience with strong traction in the United States alongside Europe and South America.
Their productions are backed by industry-leading expertise, including collaborations with acclaimed mixing and mastering engineer Thomas “Plec” Johansson, as well as mastering work by Ted Jensen. Select tracks have also featured contributions from Jonas Ekdahl (ex-Evergrey), reinforcing the band’s high production standard. At the core of Silence The Echo lies a personal approach to songwriting. Some artists write about politics, others about fantasy. Silence The Echo draws from their own journey through faith, struggle, and everyday life, grounded in something personal.
